Dear 24 Webster Neighbors and Community,

Since our last update, the construction team has completed the new building's concrete foundation, elevator shaft, and stairs. The next steps will be to begin erecting the building's steel structure.

We expect steel work to begin on September 21st and to last 7 weeks. During this time, Everett Street in front of the building will be closed 24/7 for the placement of a crane that is necessary for the steel construction. Closing the street will create a safer work site for both workers and pedestrians, avoid disrupting traffic flow on Webster Ave, and enable the construction team to move more quickly through this phase of the project.  There will be a police detail during working hours and appropriate signage for the detour to Newton Street. Please see attached for a map of the detour route.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this process. We know that the noise, vibration, and traffic disruptions during construction can be challenging. As always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Desde nuestra última actualización, el equipo de construcción ha completado los cimientos de hormigón, el hueco del ascensor y las escaleras del nuevo edificio. Los siguientes pasos consistirán en comenzar el montaje de la estructura de acero del edificio.

Prevemos que los trabajos con acero comiencen el 21 de septiembre y se prolonguen durante 7 semanas. Durante este periodo, la calle Everett, frente al edificio, permanecerá cerrada las 24 horas del día para permitir la instalación de una grúa necesaria para el montaje de la estructura. El cierre de la calle creará un entorno de trabajo más seguro tanto para los operarios como para los peatones, evitará interrupciones en el tráfico de Webster Avenue y permitirá al equipo de construcción avanzar con mayor rapidez en esta fase del proyecto. Habrá presencia policial durante el horario laboral y se instalará la señalización adecuada para el desvío hacia Newton Street. Encontrará un mapa de la ruta de desvío en el documento adjunto.
